So she stands with her back to winter, facing spring with a mask of indifference. Its warmth and colors hide unwelcomed transitions. With a slight flicker she opens both fans. Nothing but frail golden shields against the changing winds.

(Ok, so I am no writer... but this is the same litle girl next to the waterfall here: [link]
She's grown... a little.) :)

Colors are kept very de-saturated for mood and the fact that I had imagined this (for some reason) occuring at evening/moonlit-night/early dawn. The Fans are cloth. A little over-used, but sturdy.

Beautiful! I love the way it almost seems like a picture because of the blurred flowers in the foreground. Her hands are gorgeous. :)

did you draw any inspiration for this from House of flying daggers, or hero?

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)
I didn't get to watch either movie. :(
But I grew up with plenty of Chinese movies/tv series, so the inspiration could have come from any of those. :giggle:

yeah, they both lack in story, but more than make up for it with amazing coreography and superb imagery

Very nice! Though the breats should be a little bit less highlighted, IMHO.
